artist: Barbara Bartolone

Born in Genoa, she now lives and works in Bergamo. After graduating from the Accademia Ligustica of fine art, Genoa, she moved to Milan and worked as an advertising and architectural photographer, organizing and setting up exhibitions with Giovanni Chiaramonte. She researched and carried out a series of projects on urban areas in several European cities and the attached works, “Lunar Spaces”, are from this context. From the moonlit night scenes to the woods of Lombardy (“Trees that have seen you run”), her work always has underlying introspective research. Her vision is clear and objects bring to life a composition where light, reflection and colour bring into play a gentle melancholy. In Bergamo, where she now lives, she works as a professional photographer.
